Responsible for the application of merit based processes in recruitment and selection of the best candidate for the agency head position in the public service.
Primarily responsible for the application of merit based processes in recruitment and selection of the best candidate by ensuring that the advertisement of executive positions is managed well.
Ensuring that the applicant’s summary / profiling of applicants is checked properly and consistent with the requirements as per the Advertisement Gazettes and Job Descriptions.
Ensuring that character checks for applicants such as police clearance, health and fitness checks and leadership clearances are obtained.
Ensuring that pre-selection committee members are advised in advance of the scheduled meetings.
Administering the systems for recording and retrieval of essential data for the assessment and shortlisting of applicants.
Ensuring that the pre-selection committee members fully understand the selection criteria and interview questionnaires before the commencement of the meetings and interviews.
